Amputation as a Treatment for Multiple Sclerosis
Living with multiple sclerosis opens doors for a multitude of treatments, many with which I have shamelessly experimented. I have dumped money in TaoPatch (the jury’s still out), essential oils (they ARE helpful), alternative physical therapy, specialized gym memberships, online exercise programs, meditation sessions, and expensive diet programs. I will try just about anything, except bee venom therapy, lightning strikes, or AMPUTATION. In the immortal words of Meatloaf, I won’t do that.
Yes, I am religious, but I cannot follow the advice of plucking out an offensive limb.
This being the 21st century, there has to be a better way of managing chronic pain. If I cut off a painful body part every time it offended me, I would look like that chick in the movie Boxing Helena. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106471/
Desperate times supposedly ask for desperate measures, but I am not that desperate.
I will take my infuriating foot dropped, unpredictable legs to physical therapy this morning and give it my all.
Have a good day,
Lisa, Lady With the Cane
