The problem with any food plan, diet, or eating schedule is that you are always thinking about the one thing you don’t want to think about: FOOD.

Today is day three of my nutritionist-planned meal plan and continues to be interesting. After a breakfast of four slices of turkey bacon and peach, I am kind of hungry.

After two cups of coffee and a full glass of water, my mouth is watering at the thought of snack time, which is two hours away. Doing my best NOT to think about food, that’s all I can think of. It doesn’t help that I don’t really care for eggs and my snack is a boiled egg. I’ve already figured out that salt is the mainstay of taste. As a fruit lover, I am becoming disgusted with the thought of my next apple, though.

Okay, I think I am experiencing salt and sugar withdrawal. I NEED nuts and chocolate.

I have discovered the art of creatively substituting fruits and vegetables to make my daily menus work while remaining on track. I will discover tomorrow if that kept me honest when I weigh-in for the first time. Keep your fingers crossed.

It’s time to make a smoothie,

Lisa
